Kenley's 6 Month Update.

Kenley Girl: 

You are 6 months old now! Happy Half Birthday. I get sick to my stomach watching you grow. I hate it. But I love it. You learn so much every day and are becoming quite the little lady. 

First things first, you are GOOD. Everyone notices it, too. You relax and take things in, and then are up on your feet bouncing and smiling. You rarely fuss... just don't take away the bottle....giiiiiiiiirl.

You eat 5 bottles of 6 ounces every 3 hours. On the dot. You have your cereal and fruit/veggies once a day and you loveeeeee bananas. Brady did, too! You are getting better at eating and like to so much you grab the spoon from my hand and try to jam it in your mouth yourself. You still hate it when we take away the bottle to burp you, too. You eat so fast you become a gassy girl! You love mylecon. Girlfriend, I get it, I like to eat too...

You are still sleeping through the night like a champ (10-12 hours!) and are taking more consistent naps throughout the day. You have a morning one which usually lasts for 2 hours and then two shorter ones later on in the afternoon. You have a "I'm tired and I want my binky and pink bunny cry." You like your binky but definitely don't need it as much as your brother did. You spit it out unless you really need it.

 Now that you're getting bigger we can play, play, play! Mellen gave you a walker and you like to sit in it and play with all the toys. You are pretty much "over" your swing since you'd rather be looking and touching things. You are close to sitting up and can do so if we sit behind you. You like tummy time on your play-mat much more and have a favorite toy...a cookbook...that has rubber chew ends and crinkly paper. It's hot pink, of course! We have spent almost every day by water of some kind (beach, pool, beach club) and you looooooove when I put your toes in it. You are definitely a beach baby!

Being a little moody, Miss Baby K??? No, not you... never. You wear a size 2 diaper, size 6/9 month clothes, and size 2 shoe. You have stinky feet!!!

You have recently started to watch the Baby Einstein DVDs and are completely enthralled with the colors and music when they are on. I can't wait until we can watch Disney Princess movies together. I am wondering if you will be a girly girl like your mama was?! ;)

You are the perfect little traveler and perfect little accessory. I tote you around everywhere from pre-school to the Beach Club to restaurants. You just hang! If I knew that all my babies were going to be as easy as you I'd have 4 MORE! Ask me when I have 2 mobile children and I guarantee that comment will have changed... I booked our tickets for TEXAS in 2 weeks (I am taking both of you kids on the plane by myself!) so you are becoming quite the little traveler already.

Your wardrobe is quite OOC these days. I can't say no to a sweet boutique, smocked dress, Gymboree sale, or huge bow. You have more clothes than you will ever wear. I love getting to pick out your outfit in the morning and people ask if I really dress you head to to like this every day. I do. I am lucky two of my girlfriends are having babies (one a girl, one a boy!) so I can pass on you and Brady's goodies to them. Oh, and your bows are a staple, K. It's not an outfit without one. I know you will make fun of me for doing this to you when you're 16.

This is how you sleep. This is how I would keep you forever if I could. My baby girl. You really are my dream come true! I always imagined becoming a mommy and having my OWN little baby dolls to dress up. Here you are! (Your brother is over the polos and plaid shorts, by the way. All he wants is basketball shorts. Thank God I can still dress you for a few years, sweet princess!)

You are loved more than you know.
