Friday's Five: Baby #2 Wants...

I have saved mostly everything from Bradycakes, just need to pick up a few "bigger" items and of course CLOTHING once Baby McLean is here.

1. A new double stroller to ride with his/her Big Brother Brady in! Ry and I tested a few out the other day at Babies R Us and Magic Beans, but I'm still not sure if I want a front to back, smaller side-to-side, or sit n stand. Right now I'm leaning toward the City Mini Double Jogger. I've heard lots of good reviews.



2. A new swing! Brady LIVED in his swing, but this one has a plug. CRUCIAL. I went through so many batteries with the My Little Lamb Swing, which is very similar to the Fisher Price "Snugabunny."



3. Fisher Price Rock n Play Sleeper. Brady HATED his bassinet, and I ended up spending the first 6 weeks of his life with him sleeping in the crook of my arm! I'm hoping Baby #2 will use the beautiful bassinet, but if not, enter this amazing sleeper.



4. Monogrammed bedding. I am OBSESSED with all things monogrammed, but of course we can't do this until Baby is here and we know the gender and name! I am doing a jungle theme for the room, and will tweak it once we know if we have a boy or girl! I am obsessing over Polka Tot Designs...these are my favs..




5. This isn't really a "thing," just my favorite time of year. Baby wants Fall to be here! WE are tired of the humidity. I love me some summer, but I'm about to break out the pumpkins, mums, cornstalks, and apple cider. I am super excited we have a house to decorate, too. Plus, this just means that baby will be here sooner!!!



Well, that is all. I am 24 week tomorrow aka 6 months...can't believe it! Counting down the days, and boy are they flying!!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend, I will be at EBG tonight and tomorrow, and then BIG BAD Hurricane Irene is here on Sunday.

Brady's Year as a One Year Old.

I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be...

I literally just looked at Ryan and just said, "I can't believe Brady is going to be two tomorrow." It is so bittersweet! I love watching my little boy grow up every day, but sometimes I wish it would slooooooow down. My mom always told me that time would FLY once I had kids, and it is so true. It seems like yesterday I was calculating his age in weeks, then months, and now years! Although, I could be the mother who, when people ask how old their child is, say, "29 months!!!" HA!

We had a wonderful day last Sunday at Brady's Sesame Bash, and are truly surrounded by the BEST friends and family. Beyond blessed. I will do a party post on that, I literally took 130 pictures. Regardless, everyone had a blast...about 20 kids, 30 adults, a moonwalk, a face painter, and my sweet little almost-two-year-old in an Elmo tshirt with a huge grin and lollipop in hand-for the whole day.

Ry just put together his "toddler" table from Pottery Barn Kids (our gift for his bday) a little while ago, and oh my GOSH he's really going to be a flow blown toddler! My dad says that three is much harder than two, but I have a very STRONG-WILLED child. He knows what he wants, and knows how to get it. This is something I am working on controlling---discipline is not mean. "No" is okay. I know the next year is going to be a challenging one, but I am lucky enough to have a wonderful person by my side to help me through the good times and the bad. I still can't believe I'm going to be a Mommy of TWO in 3.5 months! Brady will be such a wonderful Big Brother...he has the sweetest heart and I know he will love having a playmate 24/7.

This year has been quite the whirlwind and the happiest year of my life. Here are some highlights from the last 12 months. It's amazing to me how little Brady looks a year ago! He wasn't even walking then. This boy MELTS my heart.

I am so proud to be your mom and watch in amazement as YOU teach me things every single day. You make me laugh and cry more than any human could ever make me before, and bring such JOY to my life. I could never imagine loving something as much as I love you (I know I will grow another heart for your little brother or sister.) I can't believe two years have gone by already, and how much we have been through together...you and I. Happy Birthday, sweet baby boy. Yep, you'll always be my baby.
